I'm going to be getting my silver 01 jetta :)o) tinted in the next few weeks but I'm not quite sure what percent would look good. The legal limits for Florida are:

Windshield - Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows - Must allow more than 28% of light in.
Back Side Windows - Must allow more than 15% of light in.
Rear Window - Must allow more than 15% of light in.

Here is a pic of a silver jetta (not mine) for reference. Not sure what the tint percentage is, but basically imagine that car with non-tinted windows.

    Any advice? :hsd:

Well, like I said, I live in Florida so it gets hot as hell down here in the summers and I'd rather have something that keeps it a bit cooler and gives me a little privacy. :hs:

well it's really up to you. Personally I think it looks goofy with different tints front and back and so I would probably go 30% all around.

    .

30% is low enough IMO. I have 35 on my car and it's perfect. Here in Louisiana the legal limit is 50 up front :greddy:

I thought the different tints looked kinda :greddy: too so I may just do that (get 30 around) or something like that.

cops don't really care about tint unless it is pitch black (limo), anyways I suggest you use the same darkness tint in the front to match the back windows

Go darker, you'll want to after you tint. I'd say 15-20%. I have 20% on my MKV in So Fla.
