    I had to pull the entire top of the case off to get at the damn wireless card! (this is a laptop, so that's not a trivial exercise.) What a pain in the ass, but at least it wasn't soldered to the motherboard. I'd say I'd never buy another Sony, but I didn't buy this one so I can't complain too much.

    How else are you supposed to get to the built in wifi?

    Not a smart ass comment, im serious, is there another way?

    Laptops that are wireless; most of them are like this already. Under the keyboard.

    This wasn't under the keyboard, or under a panel on the bottom. I've done that before, that isn't even worth thinking about, much less bitching about. No, on this one I had to take the ENTIRE top off the thing -- keyboard, touchpad, palmrest, plastic trim around the sides, and the billion or so screws needed to detach those parts.
