Found this on Ebay, what do you think and how much is it worth? I talked to the owner and it still has the 2 piece shafts in the rear. I'm not sure if the T-4 will live very long off road so I thought of swaping in a ford AOD.

Don't expect the axles or tranny to last long if you wheel it hard, otherwise it looks incredibly nice. It will go for a very high amount though, easily eclipsing 10k possibly up to around 15 or so. :hs:

Tell him 6k then. You will walk away with a great deal.
Does it come with the winch? I know a lot seperate that out.

    edit: just reread the ad
Tell him to stop being an ass and not including all that stuff. Those things are expensive for you to add on individually. I say just offer 6800k for the full package and see what he says. If he wants to take the box, let him, it's gay anyway.

I emailed him and said I would take it for $5800 delivered or $5500 and I'll pick it up 1/2 way. we will see what he says. And the 34's will be gone as soon as I do a TJ fender flair and get some one piece axles. 35" MTRs or BFGs or swampers go in next

Its a CJ-8..... only made from 1981-1986. only about 26,000 made. Other than the longer wheelbase and having a truck like bed its the same as a CJ-7

Why would he get an Atlas if it has a D300? :slap:

    because they are cool

and yes you can bould up a D300 cheaper than an atlas but it will never be quite as strong.

Does the marginal strength increase matter when you are dealing with buying something completely new over just using what you have?

Personally I would build up the D300 than go with an atlas unless I found one for a dirt cheap.
