    How reliable are these things? They depreciated a lot... i know that.

    Rust is a problem in the earlier versions. Along with the shifting into 4 lo and 4 hi with the transfer case, the lever can become stuck. The older you go, the normal problems that are associated with an older vehilce, apply.

    my friend has one with 170k on it, still runs pretty good, and he beats the hell out of the jeep. He takes it off-roading all the time, and the thing is great in the mud and it keeps running. I thought when he got it with 125k on it that it wouldnt last long, but it still continues to run.
