Former International Fight League welterweight champion Jay Hieron has followed in the path of Xtreme Couture teammates Mike Pyle and Chris Horodecki, announcing his intent to sign a one-year, three-fight deal with Affliction.

Hieron last week told MMAWeekly.com he had offers on the table from EliteXC, UFC, and Affliction, but the clothing company turned fight promotion brought the best deal.

And now in 6 months he will be signing a deal with one of the other promotions for less money

werd I think every one just became cynical after pride and then IFL felll. Im hoping affliction does really well because they did what no one else could do and sighned all of the free agent heavyweights worth a damn. Hopefully they can start nabbing up all of the awesome mws out there.

WFA too.. They really fucked it up for everyone because Larkin came in, signed up EVERYONE who was good, paid them well and put together a great card. The problem was they forgot to market the fights and had poor productoin.

At least Affliction already has a fan base from sponsoring MMA fighters and selling piles of t-shirts.
