Cliffs: Java applet not working. JDK uninstalled and it works now.

I was working on a JAVA applet that involved redrawing several images when keys on the keyboard were pressed.

For some reason, when I loaded the program it wouldn't redraw the images. I troubleshooted the thing to all hell and back, but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then, I showed it to a friend using his computer, and it worked! :ugh: Not long after that I learned that it worked on everyone else's computer.

    But not mine. :noes:

The program is targeted to users with a JRE of version 1.4 and above to maximize the amount of people that could use it. After a lot of troubleshooting, I tried every web browser, JDK/JRE version and OS that I could think of.

It just simply wouldn't work on my computer.

Then I uninstalled the JDK(but not the JRE) and suddenly it started to work. As it turns out, all the people who's computer I tried it on did not have a JDK installed.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had this happen to them before?

I've never had it happen to me before, but it doesn't surprise me. Java is a piece of shit.
