Good cover, global warming is probably an even more paramount concern than WWII was in its day.

    Taking the middle ground here.
Stupid move editing the photo. General rule of thumb is never to edit an iconic photo.

But global warming/going green is an important issue to discuss today, they just needed a different cover.

do more research on global warming my foul-mouthed friend, WWI and WWII may have been world wars...but global warming is humanity's war on the world.

Funny because all the research i do tells me its a natural occurrence. Also even if it is a problem NOTHING will be done about it. You see this world runs off of money, and being environmentally safe isn't very safe for the wallet.

Of course it's natural, in part. However human activities are causing it to increase exponentially faster and more intense in degree than ecosystems and humanity can adapt to. It's the reason why more extreme climatic events will result in massive damage to persons and property in 3rd world areas that don't have the money to prevent damage. Just wait until the thermohaline conveyor shuts down. And if we're not doing anything about it, why is Kyoto such a success?

If Kyoto is such a success how come i never heard of them?

edit: We also have much larger problems to deal with, like the next fuel source.

And if you knew anything, you'd know the Kyoto Protocol addresses alternate fuel sources. :hsugh:

It is a bunch of people coming together about some bullshit right? Therefore i can use them as I am referring to these people. What I was saying is that if they're so huge why do i have yet to hear of THEM? Implying that they are not so huge after all.

Christ, stop and just wikipedia it already. :ugh:

It's not a bunch of people :uh:. It's a binding treaty. And if you haven't heard of it, it's not cuz it isn't huge, it's because you probably can't read a newspaper?

no honestly, why the hell is this a big deal? I'm curious.

I've seen this picture used for everything from selling cars, selling insurance, or fucking predatory payday loans to servicemembers.

But all of a sudden its being used for a "liberal" cause and everyone is shitting their collective pants in false outrage over it.

It's pretty piss poor in taste to manipulate that image no matter how you cut it.

I think he means the bullshit advertisements that are in Stars & Stripes and other military publications. I'm pretty sure those who advertised in them throw in the Iwo Jima image to tug on heart strings.
