Erie has the #2 sunsets in the world according to National Geographic and I use that to my advantage :big grin: I've got tons of sunset pics, but I'm only going to post what I think are my best.

These are some sunrise shots I took 2 days after I got fired from a job last year - couldn't sleep so I decided to take the cam to the peninsula and get busy.

I drove to the lake side of the peninsula on a whim, and got this. It would seem that because of the breakwaters near the beaches the sand has extended all the way out to them and you can see around the peninsula. I love this pic!

Went to visit my friend Brian who was in school @ Charleston (in the Navy obviously), took this on the USS ... USS ... ahh hell, a big damn carrier.

This my brother actually took when we were going through Charlotte. He was attempting to take a picture of the building, which he failed at, however he did manage to show how fast the DX4900 is. Notice the wheel on the SUV, this pic was taken @ 75mph

I've got some more stuff I can post if anyone wants to see more ... Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

    There ya go!

The monument I took so it would be shadowed. It's not particularly striking in light, it's just a concrete pillar w/ a bell on top, surrounded by a small "moat" of sorts.

Arizona has amazing sunsets as well, I wish I had a nice enough camera to capture them.

I think that's part of the reason it looks so good.
