i prety much cancelled all my single issues except for Deadpool and a few vertigo series. I'm not sure what it is, but I just feel like everything i read melts in to one. I used to be excited for comic book Wednesday, but not so much anymore.

    flash rebirth
    siege
    blackest night

none of those did anything for me :(

why cant there be mroe Y the Last man or Walking dead every week :o

I know how you feel. I think it happens to all of us from time to time. Just stick to what you really like reading, then you won't be disappointed.

I think part of it is getting tired of heroes.... and just wanting stories about normal people in odd situations (ie Y and WD) .... shit even this last Criminal series has been pretty meh-riffic.

i think you hit it on the head. when i first started reading comics, it was ALL vertigo series. no super hero stuff really. i think as soon as i ventured in to that category, i spent far too much money getting in to the series and then delving off to really understand the stories since i have no history.

i think my pull list now is primarily vertigo/dark horse and image but none of them are in the super hero genre.

my comic shop guy isnt happy as when i started, i was at $120/month. then down to 90-100, 6 months ago i dropped it to 60. in feb i think my total was around $40ish.

I feel the same way. I wish I was as excited about comic books as I was in my youth.

This thread makes me want to think about making a creative writing thread in this subforum. :o

I've dropped so many heroes books. I save a lot of money though. What was once 20 bucks a week is now 20 bucks a month.

I know how you feel, did the same some time ago. I started reading more non-superhero stuff but then the likes of Geoff Johns and JMS started getting me into that stuff again.

All i can say is keep reading what you feel you want to. There'll be a time when you feel curious enough about the books you used to read that you'll come back.

And if not, we'll remind you when an awesome book drops and we'll all be like "Yeah, motherfucker, you better be all up in this bitch"

you might want to try adjusting your approach. I lost all desire to read regular monthly books years ago. Now I do all my comic reading through trades or graphic novels.

I've been reading manga's lately. Only completed series since i've become impatient of waiting month to month :big grin:
( i have a list of comics to read once some arcs are complete)

Even wrote a personal fanfic on Kelda & Billiam the warrior (i know, story is last years but still felt it could have used more)

I never had much interest in hero stuff. That cuts my options down quite a bit. Once I exhausted some of the modern classics, I barely read any any more.

I think Daredevil's the only hero comic book now that I anticipate every month. :o

Spidey's just been recycling all of his old foes and isn't really getting anywhere.

I'm really digging Blackest Night still, and the cosmic Marvel stuff. Aside from that, it's only Image stuff I look forward to.
