I've lost 70lbs in 4 months...kinda long

    *Updated* I've lost 112lbs in 9 months...kinda long v. *Updated*

    It is a medically supervised program where you go every week and they check your blood pressure, and pulse. I am on 750 calories of protein and on top of that I get 2 cups of vegetables a day (or 1 veg 1 fruit). The weight has fallen off.

    It's weird because I still don't see a big difference in myself in the mirror. My wife praises me and sex is 11ty times better, but I still see a huge fatass in the mirror :hs:...maybe that's because it's come off so fast I just don't mentally "see" it.

    I weighed in at 325 on April 15th, and 255 on August 11th. I have a 22 month old son and he is a huge reason why I decided to change my life. I don't want him to be a fat couch potato lol.

    I am playing tennis now 2-3 times a week but my stamina SUCKS...I can play for about an hour and a half before I am completely drained...I do live in Florida and it's retarded hot right now, so I'm sure that has alot to do with it. I am probably about a 3.0 rated player, on a scale from 1-7.

    I did join a gym about 3 months ago, and I do prefer playing tennis over doing the elliptical, and I want to do strength training but they pretty much advise against it until I reach my goal weight of 220.

    I have about 2 months left to drop 35 pounds...and I'm going to do it. I am a bit sad because I will probably need a fucking tummy tuck when it is all said and done. My stretch marks have subsided a lot on my belly which is hot.

    I'm tired of being weak...My plan is to strength train 3 days a week and do tennis 3 days a week for my cardio (once i reach my goal).

    I just wanted to make a thread to chit chat about it...if anyone has questions or tips or whatever.

    good job, but you dont need to wait to ge to 220 to start strength training...

    Yeah if anything some strength training, nothing ridiculous due to his extremely low calorie intake, will help him retain lean muscle mass I would think.

    I was doing it 3 times a week and my weekly loss started slowing. They use a tanita body analyzer which breaks down your pounds of fat, muscle and water.

    The strength training was slowing me down, in a good way....but this diet is pay as you go and the sooner I hit goal the better.

    I drink alot of Whey Protein shakes, EAS Advantage shakes...shit like that.

    I make soy protein pancakes, and use Walden Farms maple syrup

    tons of turkey sausage, turkey hot dogs....scallops, shrimp...chicken ....lean as fuck hamburger meat.

    Good for you bro for making a change and sticking with it! If you wanted to take it up a notch, you could cut out all processed foods and stick with lean cuts of real meat. The sodium and preservatives in processed foods is crazy!! Anyway, it's ok to wait to strength train until you reach 220. You can also up the number of times per week that you play tennis or you could do some cardio in the morning and tennis later in the day or vice versa. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

    I know this sounds gay, but I declared at the beginning of this year I was going to change my life.

    I quit smoking cigs on january 1st, and started my diet april 15th. So far I have to say I am happier than I have been in 6 or 7 years. :bigthumb:

    I know what you mean. I get beat by people simply because they are in better shape and last longer...regardless of the fact I have taken shit loads of lessons as a teenager and have way better strokes, topspin, etc...shit's annoying :o
