Read Daredevil by Ed Brubaker. A new arc just started a week or 2 ago, and it's a good jumping on point, and is also basically untouched by Civil War. If you like it, I'd recommend going back to the beginning of Brubaker's run (2 trade paperbacks) or if you're really ambitious, go back to when Bendis and Maleev started with Underboss, which started one of the greatest runs in the modern age. Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, and Peter David's X-Force are also really good, and don't really involve Civil War, either. If you need more specific recommendations for what to pick up, I can point you in the right direction.

Did you read Annihilation: Prologue, Annihilation: Silver Surfer, Annihilation: Super Skrull, Annihilation: Ronan, and Annihilation: Nova first?

Annihilation: Prologue was the one-shot that introduced the whole Annihilation event. After that, Annihilation: Silver Surfer, Annihilation: Super Skrull, Annihilation: Ronan, and Annihilation: Nova launched as 4 issue monthly mini-series, each released per week over 4 months. Then came Annihilation #1-6, then the other stuffs.

oic. So where should I start? :wtc:

I finished reading Astonishing XMen today issues 17-20, I forgot all about them and so it was a nice way to spend some time on a lazy sunday.

First off, read "Drax The Destroyer" in Marvel > Marvel Limited Series. Then read "Annihilation: Prologue." Then alternate Annihilation: Nova, Super Skrull, Ronan, and Silver Surfer until you finish those 16 issues total. Then read "Annihilation" 1 through 6. Then read "Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus" 1 and 2. You'll be caught up then. Another cosmic event is coming up.
