go for it then! if the car turns sour, you can always resell it ;) just dont post about your problems online in case a problem does arise you can sell it and pretend you had no idea since no one knows if it happened or not.

    :bigthumb:

ive actually known the owner of the car for quite a while.
he was one of the mechanics who did a lot of work on my previous car... im confident enough that if something goes wrong with it that i'll be able to fix it though. i've replaced almost every major component in an AE-86 at some stage or another... :hs:

OR.....I know many people won't believe this....you could just buy it to use as a fun car to drive! Or, as suggested above...as an autocross car!

I certainly enjoy a bit of drifting now and again, but the craze has gotten to the point that when I am asked, "So, you must be a drifter, huh?" I tell people, "No, I just do rallycross, autocross, and track days." just to piss them off about what they perceive to be a 'waste' of a good car.

i got sick of people asking me that too...

it seemed like every set of traffic lights, some kid would wind down his window & ask "So, do you drift it?" with some cheese-dick smile on his face... :ugh:

thats one thing i definately dont miss about my 86. :squint:

i usually answered them with "Drift? What's that? "

 they always looked too confused to explain themselves
