for a couple weeks, combined with about 3700 cals/day, and it works. I went up on the bench for the first time in months, and I've gone from about 140 lbs to 150. Thanks for the advice all .

keep at it, but only 10lbs in months? Try eating more, that has always helped my bench go up (IBcauseImahugefatass).

Just keep lifting/eating properly and you will see results.

well I gained 10 pounds in the first two weeks. this is the end of the third week and my gain has slowed a bit - i'm 153-4. however, my strength is growing at a constant speed. i figured that when my strength stops growing, i need to eat more, but it's going up fine for now.

i think he meant that his bench had plateaued for months, and since starting the routine a couple weeks ago, it's gone up

Bench went from a pitiful 60kg to a less pitiful 90kg , still have a long way to go but this program helps with getting numbers up.

and changing your routine up from time to time and doing something completly different works wonders for getting over plateaus.

i think its safe to say these guys havent been training anywhere long enough to be in a plateua, I hardly ever changed it up in the beginning and kept growing fine. Diet changes help more when it comes to changes

i've been doing pretty much the same old routines for a couple of years. but i had never built up that base strength - in particular, i had absolute chicken legs. it's weird, but somehow doing squats improved my bench
