I didn't really see any progress in terms of strength for a while but I've really been getting strong this last week or so... isn't that called delayed transformation or something?

    DB bench: 120'sx8
DB one armed bent over rows: 120'sx8 (heaviest DB's in my gym, probably could have done heavier for 8 reps)
    squats: 365x2
    floor press: 295x4
deadlifts: 550x1 with trap bar, 475x1 with oly bar
seated military press: 185x7 (not really a PR, I hit 230x1 a while back but OHP strength went to shit for a while)
standing tricep extensions: 125x8 (ez curl bar weighs 15 lbs right?)
standing calf extensions in the smith: 590x8 (assuming bar weight is 0)

and those are the ones that stick out in my mind...

    edit:

weighed in at 256 lbs today and squatted 385x2

Thanks. I know I'm getting bigger when now people ask me if I play football instead of basketball.

People ask me if I started playing badminton instead of table tennis.

jesus christ I didn't realize using a trap bar for deads would put so much weight on. Fuck I should do that and pull 650!

it depends how you pull...if you use a lot of legs and less back then you will be able to pull more with a trap bar...

This surprised me. Not that my legs are weak but my squat is considerably lower than my deadlift. I stopped doing conventional deadlifts for a while then went back to them just to see how much I could pull and was very surprised that it was such a difference.

However I set that "PR" of 475x1 after 6 sets of squats last week (one of which was the 365x2 PR) so the difference might not be as high if I was fresh for the deadlifts.

Yeah it's nice to not be "that tall lanky guy" and be "that guy to get out of the way from". I'm nowhere near done or where I'll be content from but it's comforting being one of the biggest guys in the gym that all the small guys look at :o

270 if I can make it. However I'm thinking I might have to stop at 260 or so, cut down, and start bulking again, but I'd like to stick with it as long as I can (my asian roommate is 135 and I told him I wanted to be two of him :o). I've always been relatively lean and I can't stand the fat I've been accumulating. I carry almost all of my fat on my stomach and love handles so I'm really starting to notice it (in addition to my naturally pronounced abdominal region). I know I'm being a woman about it and winter is coming up but it still kinda grosses me out :hs:

edit: and I've been eating ~4500 calories a day and already feel lethargic and bloated all the time with the constant eating, I can't imagine how much I'd need to eat to hit 280, I'd probably have to start eating a lot more calorie dense foods

I want to... I've noticed myself wearing more dark shirts because I think a visible stomach, even slight, is fuckin gross. Not that I'm there yet but I'm thinking I might get there before I get to 270.

I'm thinking about adding some cardio to keep the fat at bay, any suggestions? This is the first time I've ever really dedicated what I do to gaining muscle or losing fat, in the past I've just kinda lifted and ate kinda clean but now I'm tracking everything and aiming for certain macro ratios and it seems to be working a lot better.

Probably around 300 or a little more.

The 1rm calculator on bb.com indicates that 240 for 8 (combined DB weight) would be 298 for a 1rm and DB's are harder than BB :dunno:

Not right now, there's a few very obvious weak spots in my training that have shown their ugly head (particularly lats and bi's, which I can't understand since I can row a lot, maybe it's just the long limbs and torso that are harder to fill out) that I'd rather bring up to speed before posting pics :o
