I've just never been a fan of iTunes, the only thing I used it for on my PC was with my iPod :hs:.
One thing that has been bugging me for a while though was trying to stream music over my network?

apple apps on windows vs native mac versions sadly show a world of difference. however, as a mac user, you're on the good side of that equation. if your only experience w/iTunes is on windows, give it a shot. it should be a better experience

i dont know how experienced of a user you are, but there aren't really many media programs as comprehensive as itunes.

it rips in 5 different formats at several different bitrates
    batch edit id3 tags
like 20 different ways to sort your music
equalizer, vizualizations, sound enhancer, fade in/out, album art, etc..
burns cds, mp3 discs, data discs
has 100s of radio stations, a store, can watch movies
built in search and keeps your music folder organized for you

i really can't think of a more feature rich way to manage media, and i've used winamp, foobar, etc.

the only gripe i could see somebody having is the way it looks, but it must not be too bad if apple is using it for the basis of their next OS :mamoru:

itunes sucks the first time you use it...
keep using it and you'll start to realize it's actually a pretty good program that gets alot of flack for no reason...

keep using it....you'll like it :)

tolerate? :ugh: it does almost everything anyone could want, and it does it well. the only aspect itunes could use improvement on is the ability to customize the interface like a winamp or something of that nature

people don't seem to like to go through their preferances in Apple software for some reason, they just figure if it's not on by default, it's just not there :dunno:

I've only ever used iTunes on windows before and you're right, there is alot of difference between the two. iTunes on my mac runs alot smoother and faster now that I've played around with it for a while.
