Quick question that i'm sure someone on here knows.

Are the songs in mp3 format or some format only playable in the itunes player?

Also is there a limit on the number of times you can transfer a song over to another comp or a limited number of times you can burn it on cd?

    Thx

songs from the itunes music store are in AAC format.

songs you import yourself can be in MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, AIFF and WAV format.

as far as burning them goes, this should help...

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61077

    1. From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
    2. Make sure Audio CD is selected in the CD Burning tab.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Select the playlist you want to burn to the CD.
      • You can only burn a CD from the songs in a playlist. Click here for steps to create a playlist.
      • If a playlist contains any songs purchased from the Music Store, you can only burn the same playlist 7 times.
    5. Click the Burn Disc (or Burn CD) button.
    6. Insert a blank CD-R disc in your Mac.
    7. Click Burn Disc (or Burn CD) again.

    thanks maczter for the help.

    Okay heres a trickier question...

What could stop me from burning a cd with the acc format music, then rippin them onto my harddrive in mp3 format? With doin that, couldn't i be bypassing that whole limited burning thing and thus making them compatible with everything unlimitedly?

    thx

yep. you can certainly do that if you don't mind the degradation in sound quality. with lossy file formats, you lose some sound quality with each generation away from the original file.
