Now we FINALLY have DRM-free music, and at a higher bitrate than 128. About damn time.

    Downloading the update right now.

Too bad you have to pay an extra 30 cents per song, and the songs you've already downloaded you also have to pay the extra 30 cents.

    Fucking jews.

I'm all game for paying for music and movies, but its not worth my money at some point. The industry is killing the buisness, CDs in stores should cost 6 or 7 dollars, and thats for the latest and greatest. The CD, case and printing all cost maybe 15 or 20 cents per Disk, so somewhere along the line someone is making 19.80 off the current prices, and I bet after server costs etc for iTunes, Apple makes 80 cents per song.

They all ask for too much, and its way too easy for me to just download the music or movie I want for free.

 you're way the hell off. the labels take the majority of the profit. apple sees very little cash flow percentage-wise

I concur. There's no reason why cd's cost twice as much as tapes when they first came out when cd's cost a fraction of what tapes cost to produce.

Here in Mass a shop called Newbury Comics sells new releases for $9.98 for about 2 weeks. After that they go between $12-13.

A fair price if you're an early shopper. The bargin bin always has some new CD's for a couple bucks less too.
