It's pretty crazy when you hit longtime goals

    I pulled 405 today. I thought of a girl who played me, and yanked it. It felt lighter than I expected. And last week I squatted 405 to parallel.

    I've wanted 4 plates on squat and dead pretty much ever since I started lifting about 18 months ago.

    i had 4 plates of spaghetti last night after leg day. :)

    congrats on the 405 though :bigthumb: thats fucking awesome and 18 months isn't a long time at all.

    Previous best was 395. Two weeks ago, I got 405 about 75% up, but it took too long to get up and my grip started to give, so I had to drop it.

    Well I switch off maxing squat and dead every week, so my squat is still 405 from last week.

    On max squat day, I do high rep sldl's, and on max dead day, I do high rep box squats.

    I don't think I've ever gone over 3 plates and a quarter (365) on squats.

    That's my goal for like 5 months from now. I'm at 335 now, not sure if I can reach it. :dunno:

    No belt, no gloves, no straps, no chalk, no pad (IBgrouch).

    I really think that is why my body weight is so high is because of my big legs, because my upperbody looks nothing close to the ~225 I weigh.

    But it's to the point where jeans don't fit anymore, I tear boxers on a daily basis. It's actually getting pretty annoying. :o

    I dunno, 405 seems like a big accomplishment to me right now but when I get there it'll just be another number. Now being able to rep 405 comfortably will be the shit.

    When I did 315 it was sort of anti-climatic. Then you just gotta keep on going, the quest for strength is never ending :p

    Truth.. my friend can rep 315 with relative ease.. 6-8 reps, and I think that's completely beyond me.. or at least it was before I started seriously training. Now it's like "OK, I can see myself doing that..." But for me, maxing 405 is right about at that point where it's too far for me to comprehend. :o
