Article contains 2 pages. I just posted the first section. Click the ABC link if interested to keep reading, they talk about manipulation Myostatin to build muscle.

I would sell my soul for a myostatin inhibitor then I would sell my car and house for an adamantium skeleton to be grafted onto my bones and then I would sell my child for wolverine's claws.

Still in R&D as a treatment for muscular dystrophy. I gurantee it will make it to the black market too and I will be first in line.

Once gene therapy is here (and it will be at some point), bodybuilding will be dead. So will hard work for looking good.

I hope I'm done with lifting when this stuff hits the market. I like the work towards achieving a given goal, not something requiring no personal effort.

I think it will just raise the level of freak status which will still have to be worked for.

I agree, if I'm not working towards something, I'm not alive. Then again, if I could get the gene therapy and not have to work as hard, I'd just focus more on other goals. Working out is just a small (albeit important IMO) part of life.

Part of the appeal of bodybuilding to me is the challenge of it...I wouldn't wanna just have it handed to me. It's like cheating at a video game, takes all the fun out of it.

Would this kid be able to build muscle just as well as anyone else or is he just super strong?

Imagine being average and deciding you want to start lifting and get big...this kid could probs do it in no time.

He can hit the gym and on his first day be doing ridiculous lifts...would this be bad in any way?

Or would it be bad for him to jump into really heavy weights?
