I'm not really a huge fan of lightroom, it seems like photoshop works just as well if not easier :dunno:

Apples and oranges. They're not meant to be compared.

whats the big deal with lightroom over photoshop is it just a little easier to use :dunno:

  14. From what I've heard, Photoshop can be a little intimidating to some people unless you're into graphic design/art and photo manipulation. Lightroom basically just makes it easier for photographers by eliminating alot of the unnecessary design tools and putting all the necessary adjustment tools all in one easy to find area.

And yes LR is pretty easy to use, I don't even know what I'm doing in LR I just move the sliders around till the pic looks alittle cooler. It's pretty easy :mamoru:

Photoshop vs Lightroom, not Lightroom vs Adobe RAW + Adobe Bridge

  18. Adobe RAW + Adobe Bridge are parts of photoshop. But whatever I'm not going to bicker like a little kid :)

Not really. PS, Bridge, and ACR are not the same. Just like Lightroom does not = PS. :)

  20. Can you use ACR and Bridge without having photoshop installed? I think not but I could be wrong.
If you can use ACR and Bridge without photoshop then you're right and I'm wrong. :bigthumb:

Great logic there. Does Bridge, ACR, and Photoshop open in different windows? If so, you're wrong and I'm right? :bigthumb:

  22. So Liquidify, Extract, Save for Web, and many many many many other parts of photoshop are actually not a part of photoshop because they open in different windows? Oh snap!:noes:

Why do these conversations with you always get side tracked by you trying to defend your original post?

    Original post:

    I then posted:

    Somehow you came up with:

How does Photoshop vs Lightroom become Lightroom vs Adobe Bridge / ACR?

    I then stated:

So by your logic, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are the same? Just like how these are all the same program right?

  24. Ok then you're right, adobe bridge is not a part of photoshop. And I never denied teh fact that PS and LR are not meant to be compared.

So how can you say PS and LR are like apples and oranges? Apples and oranges would be like comparing Microsoft Word to Lightroom.

But you can't deny that ACR is not part of photoshop. And if ACR is part of photoshop then LR and PS are not like apples and oranges.
Both programs can be used to edit raw files amirite?
