    I started cee on friday since I've had a hard time putting on muscle. Looking back 4 months from today, I'm really not happy with my gains, and only picking up 12lb. 4lb per month is fucking sad. Hopefully the creatine will help.

    thanks, I've had a really tough time with my chest though. I just can't get those pecs out like my shoulders have done. I'm also not happy about the lack of weight gain. Hopefully the cee is the missing link, or its time for a total reappraisal of my routine / lifestyle.

    4 lbs a month is a little low but you dont look like you've gained much, if any fat. How many calories are you eating a day?

    You're looking pretty good, just do some heavy ass DB flies for a chest workout and it'll develop.

    I love CEE, it helped me a ton as well.

    I've been hitting up 80lb on the standing cable pec flys (40lb per side) to the point that it makes for nerve pain and shit in my left shoulder and bi. I guess I just have to keep going harder.

    what do we think about my chest routine?
    130x10 BB incline bench
    140x10 DB flat bench
    80x10 cable pec fly's
    45x25 pullovers (going away)
    wtf else should I add?

    Fuck, I need to stop stuffing leg day into a combo with chest day...apparently there is a reason for my lack of chest development.

    You're only doing 140 for 10 on the flat bench? :hs: What's your 1 rep max?

    Personally to build muscle I've found that heavy weight with less reps shocks my muscles pretty well. I stick to the 5x5 format (note: not on bill starr/christophers routine) for my core lifts. I would recommend upping the weight and lowering the reps, and be sure to raise the weight each time. For instance, last bench workout I started at 110lbs for warmups, and went up 20 pounds on each progressive set until I finally ended at 190 for my final set of 5.

    Also forget cable flies, start doing DB flies. Switch them up between flat and incline.

    I don't know my max, I've never been to the gym with someone that would spot me.

    I don't like teh 5x5, because I never get "the pump" or a burn. Its not that I wanted to be sore, but I never fealt like I was working the muscle. I upped the reps a bit, and I've noticed bigger gains over the last two weeks. I would go through a workout without even breaking a sweat doing 8 reps to failure.

    On the cable flies I feel more more work going on than with db's. I'll give it another shot tomorrow though. Thanks for the input.
