I just started working in the IT department of a fairly large company (around 900 employees, www.capsugel.com ) We make the gelatin capsules that go around all sorts of medication.

Anywho, I was asked to attend a meeting on our transition to "ITIL standards" which is beginning to take shape. Anyone have any idea what ITIL is or have any experience with it in your work environment?

IT Infrastructure Library. ITIL is an integrated set of best-practice recommendations with common definitions and terminology. ITIL covers areas such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management and the Service Desk.
