On some occassions, after my bf and I have sex, the next day or so, the inside of my vagina has this itchy feeling, like I need to stick my finger up there and scratch it. I don't have any other symptoms (no discharge, no discomfort, no inflammation, nor does it smell bad) so I don't know if this is normal. If not, what do you guys think it might be?

do you use condoms? If so, you could be allergic to the laxtex or spermicide if you're using that.

Not anymore because I thought the itchiness was from the spermicide on the condoms. It's that same itchy feeling I'd get, though, when we did use them.

He puts baby powder and sometimes spray his deodorant down there. Do you think it could be due to that?

Most importantly, though, is the itchiness a sign of some kind of infection? I would like to know so that I could get myself checked out and/or self-treat it.

YOu could be allergic to some products he is using.
YOu could have a scratch up there that hasnt healed yet and the semen stings it and makes it itch.

He could have some kind of infection?

it could just be soreness from the friction.

    he sprays deodorant down there?

anyway, ask him to skip the powder/deodorant routine once, try sex, and you'll know if that's the problem.

i think its a common allergic reaction to non-oxyl 9, the spermicide put on all lubricated condoms. most women get itchy from their man's condoms.
The non-oxyl is meant to kill sperm, can you imagine what it feels like to your sensitive parts??
Solution: use non-lubricated condoms (Durex and Trojan make them)...try using KY or some other lube without spermicide with the condom. If the lube irritates you as well, just use non-lubed condoms and put some water/spit on it.
Sounds less sexy, but it works. d

Not all lubricated condoms have spermicide. The ones that do say so on the box.

I know this because I have a horrendous reaction to nonoxynol-9.

She said it happens with or without them so it must be something else.

I'd bet it's the stuff your man is putting on down there. It's not meant for internal use.... ;)

Have him shower before, or stop doing that.
