Name a few I can get from THT that are worth it.

I'd prefer a plain edge, no tantos, manual or assisted, no liner lock, blade length of around 3" or so. Folding and durable.

    Suggestions?
    I EDC a Griptillian.

Dunnow if THT can get Emerson knives, but I love those knives.

The "wave" feature is simply unmatched for speed. Faster than automatic knives.

Sypderco licenced the wave feature IIRC. What it is is simply a nub on the spine of the knife so you can catch it against your pocket while drawing it and have it open the knife as you yank it out.

Pretty fancy feature to have on a EDC mugger stabbing knife. I daily carried a Emerson in DC, never did get to stab a mugger.

That wave feature looks like good times. Or an accident waiting to happen. Both of which sounds fun.

Ive been looking at the wave, it looks cool, but I dont know if I definitely need it, but it would be a cool feature to have.

I carry a mini-Grip with a thumb hole. You can do a poor-mans wave on any tip-up thumb hole knife by wrapping a zip tie through the thumb hole. The "locking end" of the zip tie will catch in your pocket just like the wave. I carried mine like this for 6 months or so... kind of ghetto but works and is non-permanent.

    No way holmes.

You kinda of have to consciously want the blade to open to in order for it to happen. I've had my Emerson for 3 years now, and never had an accident. Aside from the nub on the spine, it's just a regular old folding knife.

Right on, man. I guess now would be the time to snag one, with all the sales and such. Just gotta find the cash and the excuse.

Which other Manufacturers offer the wave feature? Emerson is pricy.

    Spyderco licensed it.

Spyderco is known for being cheap, and producing good value knives.

you can check Bladeforums our something. They are like Arfcom but about twice as insane.

Funniest thread I ever read was about some dude who met a cute chick at the mall, and wondering why she took off running when he opened up his tacticool knife (very slowly! :mamoru:) to help her cut off some price tags. I was like, "really?!" and got flamed like crazy for questioning his sanity.

if youre looking for a fighting knife, cehck out the spyderco p'kal. if you want a utility knife that might be used to fight then their other ones are fine for dual purposes.
