If it's JUST the bumper cover, should be a few hundred.
Maybe 3 or less for cover, another couple hundred for paint.
Not sure of body costs where you are.

However the light housing isn't aligned.
If there is damaged under it [to the chassis], and or it as well, $$$ goes up, assuming you will want to fix it.

    No insurance?

    What's your premium if so?

I'm actually the dumbass that hit it with my truck.

I was a 20km/h or less collision... I was following to close and traffic just stopped unexpectedly while I was looking in my rear view/glancing around ( the road leads straight onto the highway ).

Anyway, the plastic alignment pins on the taillight are cracked in 2 spots allowing it to be misaligned. Also the sheetmetal between the taillight and where the trunk lid locks in place is out of alignment(pushed inward). So, that will take some time to correct rising the costs. Depending if he wants a new taillight or not because of it.
I also figure the lip below the rear bumper cover won't be that easy to find a replacement.

I am 20, so I asked him if he doesn't mind not going through insurance I will pay for the damages. Just wondering how far in the hole I put myself. I figured between $500 and $1000. You guys seem to be agreeing with that guess.

looks like the trunk itself is dented in as well. maybe something from a previous incident.

Yeah, I noticed that. I cant figure how that could have came from my truck. there is no way the plastic grill on my truck dented that.

The bumper should be easy -- don't even need to replace the foam insert unless it's all kinds of fucked up underneath the cap. The light mounting points are going to take some work with a pair of channel-locks.
