    Attempted a 405 deadlift last night at the gym. My previous PR was last week at 370lb. I really wanted to pass the 400 mark by the end of this year, which is why I even tried. I was prepared to miss it and miss it I did.

    I was able to break it off the floor, but only made it 5-6" before I realized it wasn't going any higher. Second attempt was a failure as well...back to the slow and steady increase.

    I hate failing on PR attempts :hs:

    I knew there was a good chance I would fail, but the last time I had a big jump was when I had a 285 PR and couldn't pull more for the life of me. One day I said fuck it and threw 315 on there and got it. Thought I might get lucky and do that again :dunno:

    that's exactly where I'm at.


    I hit 375 a couple months ago and it was hard but I felt liek I could do more. Trained for a while and attempted 405 two weeks ago. Missed on both attempts, only getting it up six inches or so both times. I think it's mostly cause I wussed out due to my rounded back. If I had a belt my vagina would probably shrink and I'd get the 405.
