This is such a better interior than the Mini Cooper.
Added for reference:
why, so you can see them towed back to the dealers en masse?
They're a huge hit here already. They suddenly all came at once
Nice looking car though.
FIAT's quality control issues are overstated. I've driven several of them during trips to Europe. (Needless to say, they were base model rentals that had been beaten on relentlessly.) Hell, my mother had one imported to the USA back in the day, when my dad was in the Army. She said its transmission is still the best she's ever had, and it didn't rust out until she took it to Maaco to get a body panel repainted, and instead of giving her an estimate, they fucking sandblasted the thing without telling her. Took the galvanizing right off.
I came all at once too, when I saw the photos.
It would be sweet to rock one of those amidst the sea of Minis and Beetles that infest the streets of Northern VA.
Get one imported. It'll still be cheaper than they are to buy here
original pic died?
ah well here's another..
i still prefer the mini in every way to the 500
fuck the mini interior. I was thinking of getting one....until i saw the interior. The speedo in the middle kills me, not to mention the flappy craptastic plastic toggle things that feel like they're gonna break.
Plastic, plastic and more plastic that felt cheap.
The yellowjacket look is kinda neat, but I like the candycane look better.
But they are still behind other Europeans in terms of reliability...but it is one of the best super minis out there, I'd own one for a couple years just for the wow-factor...
Like I said, I've driven a few FIATs over the past few years, rentals no less, and they held up fine. I'm sure it wouldn't beat the Toyota Corolla in a reliability shootout, but anyone who buys Euro expecting it to run forever without attention is a fool anyway.
In other news, my SAMCO hoses finally came in! Now I can replace the busted rubber ones that I'd patched with superglue.
Oh I agree, europeans always were, are and will be less reliable than the Japanese....I still prefer European cars over the rest...maybe I should post a few pics on the sticky thread...
But Fiats always get the short end of the deal when it comes to build quality...I've owned 2 and the Uno almost fell to pieces at 40k miles...
horrible horrible, the worst car I've ever owned it was brand new in 1995, it was actually my second car and my first brand new car and man...that thing sucked...
You lot say Fiats are bad.
different bad. french cars are unreliable, but fiats just unravel on the road
Better to buy an Alfa then.
How about if you just shit on everything made in Italy without knowing about them, then?
Eh, Brera ftw.
i've heard the horror stories.
