In the early '90s I would go trap shooting with my dad every weekend. It was nothing for me to go through 8-10 boxes on a Saturday. Then the range near our house closed because some f**kers decided it was a good idea to build a middle-school across the street.

    Anyway.

I didn't shoot nearly as much after that. Just occasionally here or there. Sadly I hadn't fired my shotgun since the fall of 2004. Until today. I went with my buddy to shoot sporting clays. We warmed up with 50 rounds at the skeet range before heading down the path to the different S.C. stations.

Anyway, I guess I went through almost 5 boxes and my shoulder is sore as hell. Got so bad for a while I was shooting right-handed (I'm a lefty). Although I will say I hit more than I expected to doing that. (50% or so?) And in a funny bitch-slap to my buddy, my first shot right-handed hit one bird he had missed 8 times in a row.

Anyway. Cliff's: Haven't shot in a long time, shoulder is sore now. :hs:

My mother put down a box of birdshot at the range today like it was nothing. :mamoru:

With the SpecOps, birdshot is like shooting a .223. Crazy soft!

She hated my P3AT though, whew. Wouldn't even stand near me when I was shooting it.

Your mom is cool. My mom thinks guns are for the debil. My dad on the other hand has been around guns his whole life.

Sorry I just assumed that most all pump action shotguns come with a plug in the tube. It's supposed to hold 8 right? have you loaded it up all the way?

It might be that you weren't holding it correctly since you haven't shot in so long.:dunno:

I suppose that's possible. I'd like to get out there again next week. $4.25/round (25 shots) so $25 is a good afternoon. :big grin:

Here is a poor pic I took earlier. In addition to my shotgun is a left-handed Ruger M77 in 30.06 with a Leupold 3-9X scope. :)
