IT Band Tightness/Pain

    So for the last 2 years, everytime I start squatting/DLing heavy again, the portion of my IT on the left side of my kneecap always gets really sore/painful. I have done next to nothing to fix this.

    How do I fix this

    strengthen hip abductors not including the tensor fascia lata.

    side squats with bands, side walking with bands, side leg raises with bands. At least according to one of my PT professors.
