some people are having 'vertical banding' issues w/ the sensor. not saying nikon is perfect, just seems a little early to have issues w/ such a new camera. :dunno:

Damn, havent made it past the first link yet with the black dot issue. But beyond that, do you guys see the INSANE color fringing that is also going on in the night examples, including the ones on Canon's site by Laforet? Crazy purple fringing and its showing up on multiple cameras, multiple shooters and multiple lenses and I'm sure Laforet is not using kit stuff. That is more obvious to me than the black dots.

I'm sure all that will be fixed... Canon has a reputation to hold. :noes:

I've had it since the day it was released and have shot thousands of frames. Not a single hiccup or bug.

all new electronics go through problems. I'd be quick to complain about a camera or other electronic device that has been revised many times and still fucks up rather than one that is brand new. :dunno:

Sure are a lot of Nikon sackriders in here. This camera is going to get torn apart for every little thing since the MK III "issues" and every Nikon fanboy pixel peeper who has never, or will never use this cam will be screaming "OMG lulz, Canon is teh sux0rs, NiKoN FTW!"

Wait untill more than 30 people have the camera to start tearing it apart geesh!

Meh it's normal, people usually won't post good reviews. I know I never do when something works good. But if it sucks I'm more likely to post a review on it. And even if it's not working right, thats why there is a warranty.

The issue is showing up in some astrophotography shots as well. Not a huge problem in those types of shots, but annoying and it shouldn't happen.

I didn't read up on it much but it's due to the RAW image conversion. The black dots don't occur with the JPG processed shots straight off the camera.
    It's not a camera problem.

Actually, they do, it was found in those articles that it was happening with both RAW and jpeg files.
