A&P ISS pic... any tips?

    this is actually my first time doing any sort of long-exposure photography.

    any way to make the "line" brighter? bigger aperture? wait until it flies over when it's 11pm or later (really dark)?

    this was taken about 7:40pm on saturday, so it was still a bit light outside.

    lens is a sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5

    also, in lightroom it looks a lot better until it gets exported to the JPG. it seems a lot darker in Flickr.

    what could i be doing wrong?

    when you export.. are you exporting as aRBG, or sRBG?

    sRGB.

    should i be doing aRGB? i guess i've never changed it from what it defaulted to.

    if i should change it for this one, should i export all pics as aRGB?

    nope, sRBG for webviewing is what you want.

    damn, i'm smart. :o


    what about when i took the original picture? Would using a bigger aperture for the same amount of time have done anything dramatic?

    yeah, it would make the sky look bluer/take in more light pollution...
