Iso advice re: workout schedule

    I am 5"8 at 140 pounds.

    :o

    My strongest muscles are my pecs. I max out (do 1-2 reps) on the bench press at 225 lbs, which is fine for my weight. My chest is very developed, to the extent that while I would like to be stronger just to be stronger, it is soon going to be disproportionate and weird looking. So now I want to pump up a couple other parts of my body without losing the chest strength. These are:
    1. Arms: biceps and triceps.
    2. Back.

    I've devised a schedule for working out: chest on 1 day, then back, then biceps/triceps. On the fourth day, rest. Does this sound like a good plan to you?

    I don't care about reaching a specific weight, so much as gaining strength, which will doubtless increase my weight as a byproduct.

    yep. don't apply your values to me, give me some functional advice. WTF do I need to be strong for anyways? I don't lift shit in my everyday life. I am going to be working on computers. being strong is purely, 100% unnecessary except in a mating sense.

    This is in regards to randomguy's workout:

    Workout:
    Chest/Tri's
    2 sets each of flat, incline, and decline DB bench press
    3 sets of machine flys
    2 sets tricep extension
    2 sets of tricep pulldown
    2 sets of skullcrushers

    Half hour on eliptical, keeping heart rate 160-180

    Back/Biceps
    2 sets of DB curls
    3 sets of preacher curls
    3 sets of machine row
    2 sets of low row
    3 sets of shrugs
    2 sets of dumbell rows

    Half hour on eliptical, keeping heart rate 160-180

    Shoulders/Legs
    3 sets of Shoulder press
    3 sets of lateral raise
    3 sets of forward raise
    3 sets of vertical rows
    3 sets of inverted leg press
    3 sets of squats
    3 sets of leg extension
    3 sets of leg curls
    3 sets of seated calf raise

    Half hour on eliptical, keeping heart rate 160-180

    this routine 2 days on 1 day off

    ... he's doing all six muscle groups in the same workout. I thought that doing everything at once was a waste of time?
