    Looking for a new DD.
Same car but for $5k more the 350 is 100 more HP.
While the 100 HP is considerable, is it really worth the price difference? :dunno:

the is350 is loads faster than the is250.

    too bad it's just auto.

    i would still get a 350 over the 250.

I've driven both, and decided to go with a e90 BMW. If I HAD to pick one, 350 for sure.

Yeah, I already have an E92 M3, that's why I'm having trouble deciding.

    :rofl::rofl:

I've test driven both. The 250 feels really heavy and sluggish so I would definitely go for the 350.

Have you considered a W204 C-Class as well?

    I have a 350 and when I drive a 250 as a loaner I KNOW I made the right decision.

The Auto is nice with paddle shifters which are worthless turning. A PITA when I autoX'd. I can chirp 2nd sometimes in mine. Only mod is Tanabe medallion Exhaust.

Yes The 6speed Auto is very refined. the 8 Speed in the IS-f from what I read is one of the top 3 made..

I had a Tanabe Medallion exhaust. Not Ricey at all . I got alot of compliments on it took me a whole 5 mins to install. There isn't alot of power upgrades for the car CAI are a waste of money unless you just want the sound plus you have to cut the engine cover.

I just sold my IS350 cause Im moving to London and am driving a Sentra till I leave and the power difference is unbelieveable. Passing the cars in the IS took about 3 seconds you dont have to think about it all you have to think about is the rear end fishtailing...
I ordered a 2010 GTI and am planning on regaining the 106 HP I lost getting the GTI with chip reflashing and bolt on extras.

The only way I'd choose a 250 is if I wanted the AWD or something like that. Doesn't look like the TS lives in a snow belt, so the 350 would be a good choice.

I ended up buying an FJ instead. Car dealers are faggots, but these Lexus people were a new level of faggot.

Can you elaborate on that? What happened?

So you did a total 180 and went to buy a Toyota FJ instead?

Well...totally different kind of car, but same parent company...

    what the hell.

is there only one lexus dealership by you? did you deal with any other dealers/managers within that dealership?

some dealers have pissed me off, but never to the point where i completely change my decision on what car or even type of car I am going to buy.

As I said, I already have a nice car, was just looking for something as a DD. I had a few vehicles in mind, the Lexus was 1st so I gave them a shot. Didn't work out so I went to my 2nd choice. I was torn between a Rubicon or FJ, had a Wrangler before and they are just so anemic I couldn't do that to myself again.

Yep, tried a few dealers. Came close to buying at the local one but we got down to a $1500 difference. I said $1500 off or $1500 more on my trade, they refused so I walked. Some people get emotional when car buying and will give in, I have no problem walking.

Why would I kick myself in the head? I'm quite happy with it. No, it wasn't a blue one, that and yellow are horrid. I got a black one.

As I said before, I already have a nice car, so not having an entry level Lexus isn't going to send my life into a downward spiral.

With cars not exactly flying out of the dealership, I didn't expect such a fight from the Lexus people, but they are apparently VERY proud of their cars. I didn't share their sentiment so I ended up going a different route.
FJ is awesome. It's actually better than I thought it would be. 2010 model is a lot better since they made some minor, but very noticeable changes. The biggest IMHO is the turning radius. The 07-09 was like turning an oil tanker, the 2010 they reduced it by a good bit. Also, 2010 got 19 more HP, not huge, but still 19 HP is 19 HP.
