I've scraped my idea that I had previously for my site and decided I just want a very clean and simple blog.

Wordpress seems pretty popular but is it really the best tool for what I'm lookin for? I don't want to waste my time reading all about it and installing it to find out that is has way more functionality than I require. I'm just going to be looking for something to help manage the content. I've looked into CMS and even that seems more powerful than what I want.. and it took a lot longer than I had anticipated.

You could always create a really basic template that you can duplicate? Just don't use the features you don't need.. and as the blog grows (hopefully) you may wish you had them.

Just look for some free wordpress themes. A lot of them will make it look like it isn't even wordpress.
