Is Whey protein the best?

    I went to a nutrition store and as about Whey protein and the guy that works there says its not the best because it goes in and through your body like i an hour, and that other protein shakes supplement your muscles with what they need longer. So is Whey the best and why?

    certain types of protein are "better" for certain situations. Whey is generally best pre or post workout, a slower digesting protein is better before bed. i wouldn't spend too much worrying about it though

    Oh ok, I was looking for something I can have as a sort of meal, I'm trying to do the whole "eat 6 times a day" but I also want something I can use after a hard workout that will help me. Any recomendations?

    you can use whey mixed with other things to make it a meal replacement and slow the digestion as well. For example, whey + water is good post workout for a fast digesting protein source. As a meal replacement, you could use whey + milk + peanut butter + oats. That would give you protein, carbs, and healthy fats.

    I usualy have whey with meals..Isolate post workout, and casein before bed
