Its confusing sometimes, more is better but more is also worse.

My back doesn't seem to grow but I've been killing it for months already.

This is the routine I've been following for back workouts:

Upright Row 4 sets 8 reps

Bentover Row 4 sets 8 reps

Rear Barbell Shrugs 4 sets 8 reps

    Deadlifts 4 sets 8 reps

    Pullups 4 sets 8 reps

Is that too much for one day or should I rather increase weight and do less reps/sets?

    Thanks in advance.

why are you doing shrugs on back day? Other that it seems fine to me. Hopefully you don't do it in that order though. I would have deadlifts be one of the first things you do.

shrugs work out your traps, traps are on your back.

toss the upright rows and shrugs on your shoulder day and do deadlifts first

maybe do some pulldowns, too (i do 'em before i do pullups)

i heard a good rule of thumb was to get your compound movements in first and then taper into the accessory movements :dunno:

personally after doing all the other back work, i doubt i'd be able to do deads at the end of my workout :o

yeah, true... but don't deads recruit more muscle groups since you're using your whole posterior chain?

    i have no idea
