spend the extra couple hundred to pick up a 24-70 f2.8. Much better lens.

I see the 28-70 going for around 600 on craigslist in my area. So this is probably overpriced.

I think I'm one of the few who hate that zoom range.
I MUCH MUCH prefer the 24-70 on crop....unfortunately I don't know what kind of option I could find on FF if I were to ever move up....Probably keep to my primes, and just add in an 85 or 105 or 135.

then definitely go for the 24-70. It's an awesome combo. However, if you are looking to save a few bucks w/ out sacrificing too much, the 24-105 f/4 IS is also a decent lens. It's a bit cheaper, but depending on your needs, it may or may not be a wise choice.

24-70L, unless he is willing to sell that 28-70L for $500

i have the 17-40L and i like it but i want the 2.8 . and i havev the 70-200L 2.8 . i am lacking in the 40 to 70 range so i figured the 28-70 would be good since i have the 100 coverd the 24-105 f/4 would be sort of redundent after the 70 Mm plus its f4.

    so go 16-35 f2.8L & 24-70 f2.8L :bigthumb:

although the 17-14 is widely known to generally be sharper than the 16-35
