I don't see how it could be. I thought MS set the prices on the stuff.
I think MS does not allow the selling of OEM software without hardware (read the EULAs) so it is technically an illegal copy.
if you're a student, check here or at your schools computer store for deals
I get XP, 2k, VS.net all free.
I've seen these on ebay and at shows too. They usually include some bit of ancient hardware (20mb HD, pc100 ram, etc) to be "compliant." Apparently that is all that is required (?) Now where they get these copies, that is a different story. They are probably liberated from large corporate PC purchases where they are included with the PC but the company already has a select or OLP agreement with MS.
Also, if you leave that site it will offer it to you for a lower price.
if youre worried about price, there is a better solution.
I think I've been replaced as official OT Linux recommender.
