Looking for something that i can use for web surfing and decent gaming (mainly CoD MW2) while i'm away on trips.

Came across this Lenovo. I'm pretty sure they make decent stuff, and it looks pretty good with what it comes with. Just don't know a while lot about laptop dedicated vid cards.

    lenovo IdeaPad Y550 (41865GU) NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P7450(2.13GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 320GB HDD DVD±R/RW NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M - Retail

Thoughts? for $899 it seems like a pretty sick deal

Are you planning on doing a lot of graphic intensive applications? If not, you could save by not going with the Nvidia card. Personally, I think that system would be pretty nice. I'm going to wait for i7's to come down in price.

I would say gaming falls into that category of graphic intensive...

well i would like the ability to play games on the laptop without spending a small fortune on a true gaming laptop. Seems like some reviews on the Nvidia 240 are pretty decent for running games.

But mainly CoD MW2, and web run stuff.
