me and my buddy were doing some HIIT...

we would pick a spot in the distance to sprint to, get there...slow down and then walk till we caught our breath. repeated for about 40 minutes...

is it bad to walk in between HIIT

I usually light jog after sprinting and slow it to a walk so it's not one extreme to the other extreme.

When I do it, I do a 1 minute power walk followed by a 30 second sprint. For about 15-20 minutes :dunno:

I thought it was better to go out and run hard constantly for like 15-25 minutes instead of just jogging for say 45 minutes to an hour.

Is it really better to walk sprint, walk sprint.......

When I go out and run 30 minutes, I run hard, mostly around 3.5 miles or so.

Thanks for the read. Made lots of sense.

The only other thing about the HIIT routine is that when I run outside, I run with my dog and I can't be stopping, starting, walking, jogging all the time.

May try to do a little on the treadmill in the morning and see how it works.
