With a name like "Storm Carbine" you can be pretty sure it is banned, but i couldn't say for sure.

Check with the CA Dept of Justice.

do it from a payphone in case they are banned and one "just happens" to find it's way into your collection ;)

not that i'm suggesting you break the law or anything :nono: but we all know how a weapon can just appear out of nowhere into your collection. especially ones the SO doesn't want you to have ;)

If the barrel is longer than 16 inches then yes it should be legal.

California's restrictions on the rights of their subjects aren't nearly so simple.

I wasn't saying that was the only restriction on guns. Being in California I know this. Anyway just by taking a quick look at it, there is no pistol grip, no bayonet lug, and no threaded barrel. It does have a detachable Mag, therefore the barrel must be over 16 inches to make it a rifle, not an "assault rifle. The gun should be legal, provided it is on the list of acceptable guns. Being that this is a gun from baretta, I would imagine that it is. More than likely this gun was designed with california in mind. I can't really see making this gun for the rest of the US when you can get much better rifles.

BATF has ruled that a "thumbhole" stock of that style is a pistol grip. :hs:

Fact is, i dunno if it's CA legal. As you said, i imagine they made it with CA in mind, but i'd never say one way or the other cos they change their minds every other day out there.

Who cares if its legal? Don't let the damn government tell you what to do. If you like it, buy it!

sushibug, your friend is wrong. if it has a buttstock, it's considered a rifle. if it weren't so, then my AR would just be an extended pistol, due to its pistol grip. there's a reason semi-auto MP5's have those fake suppressors on them: to make the overall barrel length long enough to satisfy the GayTF. reason? because an MP5 is not a pistol. this thing looks less like a pistol than an MP5, so there's no way it's going to be classified as one.
