Is this a healthy diet? v.breakfast&lunch

    I am planning to lose about 10 to 15lbs by eating less in the coming weeks

    I used to get a bagel with coffee every morning for breakfast, lunch will either be chinese food order or a burrito or something, pretty filling

    what i plan to switch to is a banana in the morning and an apple for lunch

    i work in an office so after i eat i sit at my desk again, so i think thats how i gain my weight

    so considering if i only consume a banana and an apple for the day until dinner time, is this healthy?

    your breakfast should be a decent meal, since you're not eating while you're asleep (i hope)

    you need to eat healthier and more often

    edit: I thought it said you were eating a banana for breakfast and a burrito for dinner, oops

    read the nutrition stickies at the top of the board and either exercise more or eat less. and try counting calories. www.fitday.com or www.calorieking.com (i think)

    Eating less will result in weight loss as long as calories spent during the day > calories consumed.

    So you could do what you have proposed, but it certainly isn't healthy. You would lose weight, but slow down your metabolism at the same time - thus, when you returned to a normal diet you'll gain weight fairly quickly.

    I hope that you know dieting temporarily rarely works in the long run. Instead of dieting, you could try a lifestyle change.

    Take control over your diet and exercise - stop letting things like "work" control you.

    Eat clean - 3-5 meals a day. Eat smaller portions. Make sure you keep the dirty calories low. Brown bread over white bread. Lean meat over fatty meat. Vegetables and fruits over things like take out.

    You'll never be able to continue a banana / apple / dinner indefinitely. After that, you'll gain weight. Fast.

    so you're going to only eat a bannana and an apple till dinner? ugh...

    ALL your meals should be a combination of whole carbs, protein and healthy fats. complex carbs,eggs,whey,veggies,lean meats are the basics.

    Dude, you are gonna need more food then that......

    How about just starting out small and changing breakfast, get rid of the bagel and coffee and repalce it with water and a banana

    the banana has too mcuh sugar, but say u wanted to stick to the fruits, ... eat 4 apples in the morn then 4 for lunch... it will be about 400-600 calories at the end of the day, but you will have a nice business meeting with the toilet too, and this should keep you full through out the day so you dont binge. Also drink you coffee black, or with skim milk, but do not add suagr unless its splenda

    She'll walk to the kitchen, make a snack and then wake up with it under her pillow.

    try it out see how it works and get back to us. You will lose weight but it wont be fat.

    i skipped breakfast today
    had a cup noodle and some crackers for lunch

    so far so good

    When I worked in an office I had good success with just eating a decent breakfast and skipping lunch altogether save a diet coke.
