are you planning on being that far away from objects to use even the shortest focal length?

has anyone her used/bought a Quandary for any amount of time not just read reviews? I always here people but them down but what does a printed picture look like compared to a name-brand lens? Will a 4x6 or 8x10 look really bad, a little worst or no difference?

    It's not a bad lens...

just kidding, yes it is. It lacks contrast, they're slow and noisy to focus, and they lack sharpness as well. Big deal right? Let's just post process it.. a bit of usm here a bit of usm there, boost the contrast and saturation. Wrong. Not the same.

For another 30-40 bucks you can get the Sigma 70-300mm Super macro APO II or whatever. It's a consumer lens, but waaay better than Quantaray. You'd think they'd be similar considering Sigma manufactures both right? Wrong. I can guarantee you that if you use a 70-200 f/2.8, even the sigma version, and take pictures.. print them out, you can spot which one is the Quantaray 100% of the time, even from far away.

But then again, what the hell do I know. Save 40 bucks and buy a Quantaray! Let us know how it goes. :hsugh:

I have one. It stays in the box under my bed. I've used it maybe 2 or 3 times. It's that bad.
