I'm new to the photo world. Is this a good deal for the package. All are used but in decent condition. They'll be put on my XTI.

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens
    Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Quantaray 75-300mm (unsure anything else about it)
    2 XTI batteries
    1 wireless remote
    1 wired remote

    For $225??

Are the batteries Canon or off-brand?

The two zoom lenses are both pieces of shit, don't even bother. And if you have a wireless remote I don't see why you also need a wired one. So the actual value of the deal is batteries, a wireless remote and a thrifty fifty. The batteries are extremely variable and might be worthless, they only last a few years new off the shelf.

So we have 2 batteries which you can get new and off-brand for about $30 for two, a wireless remote for $25 and a thrifty fifty for $80 for a total of $135.

A better investment would be to get the Opteka grip with 2 batteries included for $80 in addtion to the remote and lens for $185.
