Is this a good deal for 2 512mb DDR for a powerbook

    meh. the mail in rebate and $5 for shipping kind of deters me from that one

    But, its one stick instead of two...

    iono, its totally up to you but the one on the apple site costs 500 dollars. 400 dollars off a stick of ram; i can pay shipping and wait a few days =)

    i purchased the kingston value ram when the link was posted about a month ago. $150 for a 1gb stick for my powerbook. so far so good, no problems at all.

    Well I'm getting a little bit worried.

    On the kingstons website they have two 1GB 200pin SODIMM PC2700 rams listed... one for PB and the rest. Now, the PB listing is kinda skimpy on the details but it costs more. Is there an actual difference?

    looking at crucial.com's list for ram that works, the kingston above matches the specs
