I've always figgured it depends on your goals. IE: If your going for insane cutting maybe some Isopure with water- but if you're trying to bulk up you could find a powder with lots of carbs for post-workout shakes w/ milk. I remember from way back that bodybuilding.com has a pretty intense database search feature to screen aton of diffrent powders and bars for exactly the stuff you want in them.

Isolates, some are 18g vs 25g, if it is a meal replacement, or 100% whey, soy, casein...

i don't think there's much of a way to evaluate the quality of the protein being put in. I wandered away from ON for post workout shakes and am using BSN's syntha-6. after that i'm going to try some cytosport muscle milk.

have had mochacino, cookies and cream and chocolate with millk. all excellent

nah I still use a scoop in the morning for my fibre1. just wanted to switch it up abit. I could still just drink ON PWO. I try to minimize the amount of protein supplementation I take it but I've found that lately its gone up. i.e. today i mowed on 1 scoop of ON, 2 scoops of syntha-6, and 1 brotien bar. that's 90g of protein today from supplementation which is kinda :greddy:

syntha is $$ but i'm a working stiff so it's not much. I probably spend about $100 a month or two on supps which isn't much to me because its the equivalent of buying steaks or chicken breast. its fooddd
