seriously, in a luxury sports sedan market, amongst the C63's, M3's, RS4's, CTS-V's, etc, of the world, this shit is the slowest and least track capable of all of them....BY A FUCKING MILE!

I didn't even consider it because I found it to be so ugly. And this is coming from a guy whose wife has an IS350 and we both like it.

    no its not

I would say it has 95% of the performance of a M3 with a hell of a lot more reliability than the Germans.

It beats the M3 in a straight line and can hang around a track. Stock IS-F has hit 12.6 in the 1/4 mile. Of course the auto is fail but its really not a bad option for some people.

It gets a bad rap on OT because 1) auto 2) RING times mean everything 3) fake exhaust tips. In the real world, its a great car. If I was older and didnt want to deal with the headaches of a German car, I would definitely consider it over the competition. If you are younger and the best track time is your ultimate goal (even if you dont go to the track and just want to brag to your friends), then dont get the IS-F. Obviously, the Lexus wont drive like a BMW.

Out of that list, Id prolly go with the 2 door M3.

OT hates anything that isn't made in America or Germany.

lol i know a guy in my neighborhood that bought a new blue IS-F. He's a track guy that takes his cars out to the track one a month or two. He said he bought it because it was cheaper than the M3 and similar performance.

....he sold it after his first track weekend and bought an M3. He said the IS-F felt like a luxury sedan that definitely showed its weight.

Not by much. A loaded C63 is around $64K, and similarly equipped M3 is around $65K. A lot of wiggle-room is being offered on all three however (in the DC area at least), so they all can be had for around $58-60K.

yeah....I wouldn't "-ing" too much if I were you, when a "sports" sedan is being whooped by a fucking FWD $22k Cobalt SS, or a $38k "entry level" 135i Bimmer around the track :nono:

Its a Lexus. You think the track time is their ultimate goal? They want a performance car thats in the same class but offers lexus reliability.

Id take an IS-F as a daily anyway while your shit is broke in the shop.

how many times have you been to the track in the 135? Like I said, if you are track junkey, its not the right choice. So unless you are a track junkey, I am  at you.

Agreed. It actually brings TOYOTA reliability to the supersedan segment.

And its 8 speed transmission shifts as fast as SMG ftw.

    :werd: i wouldnt either

its typical internet hate if it runs .2 seconds slower around some random track than the competition when 95% of these retards never even go to a track.

The new Cobalt is apparently pretty sweet.

Maybe I'll buy one @ the GM fleamarket when they fold next year.

bro...don't get all defensive n shit. If your goal is a comfy dialy driver with some good power, and you got money to burn, sure, the IS-F is one of the options.

my shit is broken and in the shop? broseph, I've had my X5 and 330ci for 5 years, and all I've done is the scheduled maintenance.;) You must be thinking of mercedes:mamoru:

ps- not once have I taken it to the track yet....shit is in the boat :naughty:....once I get it here in the US, it will be at homestead or Morosso once a month :hsugh:
