I would get it in 5.45. Classicarms has em for $339 which looks pretty damn hard to beat.

Thoughts? I know most people are generally pro-Saiga, but I wanted to see if the 5.45 chambering was worth it.

    Thanks bros.

Anyone selling converted 5.45 Saigas yet? I would gladly replace my WASR-2 with one.

I think I'd like my 7.62 better if I had a muzzle brake on it.

The one that ClassicArms is selling is CA compliant already since it doesn't have a pistol grip or flash suppressor, I think.

Lemme know if I am off base on the legality thing, I haven't spent a lot of time researching that yet.

Jesus, the more I see about "Cali Legal" weapons, the more I'm glad I left that state years ago.

Why not go S12? More fun to shoot (unless you don't have an AK already I guess), cheaper to shoot

RAA saigas are legal in california but classicarms wants to play it safe and not ship any here.

Even though you can even find saigas in gun stores now

I have a Saiga in .308. It's fun, but nothing more than an expensive range toy. Don't expect to win any long distance shooting matches with it, but it throws lead just like the rest.

Longest range I go to is 100 yards, so I'm not expecting much.

Mostly I want a fun/cheap to shoot gun. Plus the ability to use detachable magazines/preban "hi caps" is a plus.

Fuck CA. 1.75 more years until I am gone....
