I havnet missed a day in 8 months, and suprizingly enough I feel no burn out yet. I was wondering if there is an actual reason to take a week off or something during the course of getting broly?

I cant really think of a specific reason why you would, but maybe so your body has time to rest and recover from being "in shock" for a long period of time :dunno:

Anyone have any articals on why, or why not doing this?

Not going googling for this, since its so commonly acknowledged. Every few months, take a week off. Sometimes your CNS just needs time to reload.

Personally, after I finish one of training cycles - madcow's bill starr 5x5 variation - i take 1-2 weeks off, with just light lifting and cardio. so that's about every 10 weeks.

A week is too long for me. However, Every 3 months or so i'll take off like 3-4 days in a row.

it gives your body a chance to "normalize", especially if you're going from cutting to bulking or vice versa. plus its a good break for your mind too.

personally, i try to time mine to coincide with vacations or busy weeks

the max-ot program has you take a week off every 8 weeks. i guess because it was so "intense" that your body needed a week of recouperation. i don't really ever take weeks off though, maybe a day or two if i'm tired.
