I drank a fifth of Gentleman jack Friday night and was fine until we got on the bus home. Then I started sweating really bad and threw up for about an hour when we got back. Then Saturday morning when I woke up my eyes were swollen almost like I had two black eyes without the black color. I thought it might have to do with being really dehydrated but I don't know. Am I dying? :noes: BTW, no more liquor for me for a while.

I sweat more when I drink.. I am sure it has to do with alcohol's effects on your thermals.

you probably needed to throw up, and sweating is a sign of needing to vomit

Oh, I promise I needed to throw up. But I am too high and mighty to do it in front of 60 other people no matter how drunk they are too.

I am just questioning why my eyes puffed up. Could it be due to really bad dehydration?

I am not allergic to anything as far as I know and alcohol has never bothered me. I wonder if it is something due to too much whiskey.

Food allergies can appear at virtually any time during one's life.

My face becomes flushed whenever I drink.. it could be various levels of allergy to alcohol.

There is a girl I know that gets a rash all over her body when she drinks jaeger bombs. I just find it wierd that I didn't get puffy until the next day. I thought it could either be due to dehydration or strain from the hour of vomiting. But as long as I am not dying I could care less.

my eldest gets a rash from rubbing alcohol- she is severely allergic. when she nears 18, we're gonna make her drink at home to be sure she doesn't kill herself the first time she does it with friends. :hsd:

edit: and before someone says "rubbing alcohol!=alcohol", her birthmom has the same allergy and goes bonkers when she has even the tiniest bit of alcohol.

That is what I think might have happened. Your skeletal muscles provide your body with the heat needed to keep you at ~98.6 degrees and if I was so drunk that my skeletal muscles didn't provide as much heat I would be sweating due to feeling hot when in fact I was cold.

You might want to introduce her to it a bit earlier than 18 then.

:mamoru: planning on it. I said NEARS 18. we're watching her social development closely. At 13, she's a bit too young right now :greddy: We will do it when it is more appropriate but far before she is legal to drink.

    13 huh?? :jb:

  25. drinking followed by dehydration can do a number on the network of blood vessels underneath and around the eye. that's why you see heavy drinkers with bags and/or dark circles, or heavy consumers of any substance. your eyes getting puffy was probably a reaction to the 1500 ml of booze bursting capillaries and shoving osmotic balances out of whack in that region.
